GRANT REQUEST

The Holland Foundation is now taking applications for grants.  The deadline for applications this year (2018) is August 15th. Our Board of Directors will meet in mid-November to make decisions about grants, and you will be notified soon after as to the Board’s decision.

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Holland Foundation is to support efforts which 1) aid children and families in crisis or in need, 2) support the arts or artists, and 3) support public education at all levels.

To a lesser extent, the Foundation supports efforts which 1) benefit the environment, 2) support scientific research, and 3) facilitate communication and understanding with others.

In furtherance of the mission, the Holland Foundation may fund capital projects, general operating support, and special programs or projects.  Our interests include advocacy, and efforts to address the root causes of both poverty, and failed educational outcomes.

Before you apply for a grant, please read our mission statement and other guidelines to see if your organization is a good match with the Holland Foundation.

First, please fill out our preliminary questionnaire (see below), and if we think your organization is a good fit with the Holland Foundation’s mission and goals, we will send the application link to your contact person. We will likewise inform you if your organization or project is not of interest to us.

Other things you should know:

We will not meet with grant seekers before an application is submitted.
After you have submitted an application, we may ask to meet with you if we need more information, or if we want to see your facility, for example.   However, we may not need to meet with you.
Please do not approach individual members of the Board unless you have a personal relationship with them.
Our geographic focus is Nebraska.
We do not support religious organizations for religious purposes.
We may access your most recent Form 990.
