“If you have had the good fortune to earn a fortune, share it generously with others. There’s no better feeling in the world than helping out where there’s a real human need,” - Dick Holland.

important information about grant requests

It was always our founder Dick Holland’s intention that the Holland Foundation not exist in perpetuity, and the Holland Foundation’s Board of Directors are following Dick’s wishes to sunset the foundation 10 years after his death. Therefore, as many of you know, our foundation will be sunsetting in two to three years, and our grant application process will be different this year.

With our upcoming sunset, we have had to make difficult decisions.

This year we are limiting the number of organizations we will fund.

The organizations we will continue to fund will receive an invitation to apply for grants via email by August 9, 2023.

No new organizations (organizations we have not funded in the last few years) will be invited to apply.

We will not accept capital campaign requests.

The organizations we have funded in the last few years and will no longer be able to fund, will receive a letter in the mail by August 9, 2023.

The Holland Foundation has been funding organizations for 20 years, and we plan to continue to help our community with Dick’s spirit of giving until our sunset.
